Although some complained of their judgmental comments in stories of thefts, car accidents, drug use, etc., and they invited callers to tell “their side,” they also rallied people to support victims of fire or fraud, and were animal rights proponents, often publicizing animal abuse cases, trying to get people to come forward to help abused pets. The pair covered and commented on local news, and did on-air interviews with people who are involved in news events. They often were #1 in the radio market which covered most of western New York. The incident occurred during their Radio 95.1 show on Tuesday afternoon.
